The Parents Association funded the first aid training course for all year 6 children which took place on the 12th July. Each child had the opportunity to take part and learn key skills in CPR and first response. They all received a certificate. We are planning for the current year 6's to have their first aid training hopefully before Christmas. Thank you to Danny Hyde the instructor and to Shelley Williamson for organising this. Danny said "Having knowledge and confidence to know what to do in an emergency situation will undoubtedly save lives, the skills the children have learnt today will stay with them as they move into secondary school and beyond".
