Theydon Christmas Trees Offer
We’ve had a lot of issues with our referral system technology partner, but everyone who has signed up via your link has been tracked along with any purchases made. We have set you up with this new code/link that gives a £5 discount to parents at checkout and free delivery worth £3.95.
CODE: cofe5

Dear Parent/Carers,
Did you know that plastic Christmas trees are non-recyclable? The vast majority are also shipped from China, which is terrible for our planet. We can help combat climate change and reduce CO2 emissions by purchasing locally grown real Christmas trees.
This year Chingford CofE has teamed up with Theydon Christmas Trees to offer an Order-to-Door service, providing you with the highest quality tree that doesn't cost the earth!
For every Christmas Tree purchased from our unique link, £5 will be donated to Chingford CofE, and you will receive a £5 discount.
They are also donating a Real Christmas Tree to the school.
In addition to fighting climate change, when you purchase from Theydon Christmas Trees, you get the benefits of:
Free delivery order-to-door service
Support a local business
No needle drop
Soft and even foliage
24-hour return/refund policy
Here's how it works - Simply visit Theydon Christmas Trees using this link, and a £5 discount window will appear. Pop your email address in, and you will be sent a £5 voucher.
Then pick the height of the Nordmann Fir tree you desire and make your purchase.
The team at Theydon Christmas Trees will give you a call in the last week of November/first week of December to confirm a delivery date and time that works for you. They will also track all the sales we refer and will donate to the school at the end of December based on the number of sales.
Please don't be afraid to share this email with your friends and family - the more money we can raise for the school, the better!

Dear Parents/Carers,
In light of the current covid situation, and because we have had a localised outbreak of covid in Y5, we are adopting the following measures:
- If a child at CCofE has covid and their sibling is negative, and wishes to keep attending school, please do a lateral flow test, each day, of the 10 days your child would have previously been isolating for. As long as the lateral flow test is negative, the child can continue attending school. Please inform the member of staff on duty at the gate each morning, that the test has been done and is negative.
- If you wish to isolate because a family member has covid, let us know and we will upload work to google classroom.
- The junior site has gone back into tight bubbles for a week to try and break the infection chain. This includes lunchtimes, when the children will be all eating in their own classrooms until Tuesday 7th December, when we review the situation.
Nativity Plays for Reception and Y3:
It is currently our intention to perform them with a limited adult audience, but also provide a link to watch the performances for those who couldn’t attend. Any adult attending, will be expected to wear a mask, unless they can provide legal exemption, and expect to have their temperature taken on arrival. No food or drink to be brought into the hall.
Please note, we have added a performance date to the Y3 Nativity to allow for social distancing in the junior hall and so:
Y3 Bowie will perform to TWO adults per child per class on Thursday 9th December at 9.30am
Y3 Potter will perform to TWO adults per child per class on Friday 10th December at 9.30am
Please note that due to the smaller size of the infant hall only ONE adult per child in the reception classes will be able to attend the performance
Reception Darling will perform to ONE adult per child only on Tuesday 14th December at 9.30am
Reception Shakespeare will perform to ONE adult per child only on Wednesday 15th December at 9.30am
Church Service with Y6:
Y6 will be attending the church service on the last day of term at 9.30am and Y6 parents/carers are invited to join them at 9.30 on Friday 17th December in church. The service will be beamed back to the rest of the school in their classrooms to join in.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding with these measures,
Best wishes,
Lindsey Lampard
