Y2M Letter to Pupils April 2020
Hi 2 Morris!
We hope you and your family are well and are keeping safe. It seems a long time ago that we were together in the classroom doing our daily work. We miss you all and hope to be seeing you as soon as possible.
Miss Bruford, Mrs Lawrence and I have been working at the Juniors, along with other members of staff, teaching the children of keyworkers and answering the telephone. Miss Bruford has been working particularly hard on putting some working at home ideas on the school website. Have you tried them yet? If you have why not email us and tell us how you are doing - we would love to hear from you! Even if you haven't, we would still love to hear from you to make sure things are ok.
During this time it's really important to think of others and to be kind. Think about our school motto from the Bible which says, " Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too."
With this in mind, take a look at the 'Power of Kindness' folder on the school website which can be found in the Parents' section called 'Helping your Child at Home'. There are some calendar ideas there which can help you record your acts of kindness during this difficult time.
Remember to keep washing those hands and keep a safe distance from others if you have to leave home for any reason.
Lots of love
Mr Osborne, Miss Bruford & Mrs Lawrence
Y2N Letter to Pupils April 2020
Hello 2 Nightingale!
We miss you so much! We hope that you are well and that you’re keeping safe at home with your family. It has only been a couple of weeks since we were together in our classroom but it feels like a couple of months ago! Let’s keep our fingers crossed that it won’t be too long until we are back at school and working hard.
Mrs McMurray has been working at the juniors, with other members of staff, teaching the children of keyworkers. Miss Bruford has been working really hard on putting some ‘working at home’ ideas on our school website – have you tried any yet? There are lots of activities to try, including science, PE and maths so you can keep yourself very busy!
We know that life is very different at the moment and that things can seem a bit tricky. So, just like at school, remember to think about our Golden Rule of ‘I am kind and helpful’. How could you be kind and helpful towards your family? Maybe you could help with the washing up, tidy away your toys or just offer a hug to someone you live with. It would really spread some love!
If you want to record your acts of kindness, you can take a look at the ‘Power of Kindness’ folder on our school website in the ‘Helping your child at Home’ folder under the ‘Parents’ section. You can complete your ideas as a calendar.
We will write to you again soon but in the meantime remember to keep washing your hands and to keep a safe distance from others if you are out and about.
Lots of Love
Mrs McMurray and Mrs Bethune
