Boys' football teams narrowly miss out on qualification from Group Stages in 6 a-side Tournament at 'Goals'

C of E fielded two teams in a 6 a-side tournament held at 'Goals' which saw 34 other teams from the local area competing to win the coveted 6 a-side Cup.

Both sides chalked up two wins each in the group stages but this was not enough to proceed to the quarter finals. 

Disappointed goalkeeper Liam commented, 'My team played well and we would have qualified for the quarter finals had we not lost our final game in the group stage. However, we enjoyed taking part in the tournament.'

Defender Riaz added, 'We did our best and can be proud of our efforts.'
