London Youth Games 2016
Eight children from years 3-6 went to Crystal Palace National Sports Centre on Thursday 30th June to represent our borough at mini tennis and key steps gymnastics in the London youth games.
It was a long day - leaving Waltham Forest town hall at 7am and returning at 6pm, we got the coach with six other schools representing in other sports.
The children had an incredible experience and played/performed fantastically well against tough competition. It was lovely to see their confidence and determination. Their behaviour was brilliant too (as always).
Although we didn't medal, the gymnasts came 8th and the tennis players came 21st both out of the 33 London boroughs present.
Well done to all of the children for their efforts and to the grown ups for supporting. Here's to a return next year!!
