Orient Hero Meets 6R

Children from Miss Roberts' class recently had the privilege of spending an hour in the company of Leyton Orient striker, Jonathan Tehoue. Jonathan answered questions about his career and spent time signing autographs. Jonathan is best known for scoring a goal against Arsenal in last season's epic FA Cup encounter at Brisbane Road which saw the East London team earn a 1-1 draw.

Our roving reporter, Sofia Shelbourne, quizzed  Jonathan about his footballing influences. Jonathan told Sophie that George Weah, who played for Chelsea and AC Miilan, was his favourite player.

Sophie also discovered that Jonathan started playing football at the age of 6. Within 10 years he was starring at the Le Havre academy in France! As a youngster he didn’t support Leyton Orient, he supported Barcelona and AC Milan.

Jonathan's visit was organised by Howard Gould who promotes the club's local community links. Leyton Orient also kindly provided the school with 25 pairs of tickets for a League One game against Exeter City - a game in which Jonathan scored as Orient won 3-0.
