Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
The school held a red, white and blue themed-day today as part of our celebrations marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
A picnic lunch was provided for the children consisting of among other delights, a coronation chicken wrap!
During the week pupils honed their design and technology skills to make royally themed objects such crowns, carriages and thrones. One year group went as far as to make crown-shaped pizza!
Towards the end of the day some Year 5 pupils presented a special assembly they had put together to Reception and Key Stage 1 pupils celebrating the Queen's Jubilee. Aside from leading prayers and worship, the children made reference to another special queen called Esther whose story can be found in the Bible.
