KS1 Sportshall
Tue 29 Nov 2016Children from our year 1 and 2 classes took part in the KS1 Sportshall event at the Peter May Centre. The children competed in a number of different activities including skipping, bowling, speed jumping, obstacle races and javelin throwing. Everyone who took part put in a great effort and as a result our school came 11th out of 30 teams!

Year 6 Table Tennis Competition

Harvest Festival
Wed 02 Nov 2016The school celebrated Harvest Festival recently with donated food items being passed on to Chingford Food Bank. Over 50 pupils from the Junior site made loaves for our annual bread making competition. The competition was judged by school governor, Mrs Learner, and the school caretaker, Mr Bygrave. -

Professor Meets Year 6 Pupils
Tue 01 Nov 2016Prof. Maxwell Hutchinson, a renown architect, visited the school to talk to Year 6 pupils about his career and remarkable life which now also sees him working as a deacon at the local Parish church.
Prof. Hutchinson, who is a regular on radio and television, amazed the children with anecdotes about his life which included how he escaped the 2004 tsunami that hit South - East Asia, his involvement in the pop scene during the 1960s and 1970s and meetings with such luminaries as former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and US Presidential candidate, Donald Trump!
Year 6 pupil, Adam, commented, " It was really inspiring listening to the achievements of Professor Hutchinson. I thoroughly enjoyed his talk."
