Educational Visits
Educational visits are an important part of school life and play a valuable role in enriching the curriculum. They provide pupils with opportunities to experience learning beyond the classroom, bringing topics to life and helping children develop curiosity, independence and confidence.
Visits can include local walks, visits to museums, places of worship, outdoor learning experiences and residential opportunities. These experiences help pupils to deepen their understanding of what they have been learning in class, while also developing important social skills such as teamwork, resilience and responsibility.
We always aim to keep the cost of educational visits as low as possible and work hard to ensure they remain accessible for all families. Wherever possible we seek good value options and plan visits carefully so that they support the curriculum while remaining affordable.
In most cases we ask families to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost of a visit. These contributions help us to cover transport, entrance fees and other associated costs. However, if we do not receive sufficient contributions to cover the overall cost, the school may unfortunately have to make the difficult decision to cancel the visit.
We are committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to take part in educational visits. If you require financial support or are concerned about the cost of a visit, please contact the school office in confidence and we will do our best to support you.
