Sex Education Years 4-6

In the summer term of Year 4, within the Sex Education curriculum, the teachers cover the basic aspects of puberty with the children, including menstruation. 

This year, because of the ongoing Covid-19 situation, we are making the website that we use to deliver the aspects of menstruation available to parents. It is important that girls have access to this information as experience has taught us that some girls start their periods in year 5. 

www.bettyforschools.co.uk has a wealth of resources which can be used in ways appropriate to your child.  You will need to register first, then it is advised that parents/carers read over/watch the material on their own.  There is a Parents Hub, along with videos, chats and lesson plans.  They can then share the relevant information with their children.
