Year 5 were invited to the Parish Church to participate in an Ash Wednesday Service today. During the service pupils, staff, parents and carers were invited forward by Father Justin to receive ash on their forehead or hand.

Year 5 pupil, Jah Kai, commented, "I took the Ash because I am a Christian  and take these occasions seriously." Fellow Year 5 pupil Lola didn't take the ash. "I'm not religious," she said, "however, I do respect other people's beliefs and enjoyed the service."
