Christmas Festivities
As Christmas beckons and with snow on the ground, our children have busied themselves with a number of Christmas themed activities this week including Christmas cake baking, sculpting angels, card and decoration making and learning about the true meaning of Christmas courtesy of the Red Balloon Foundation who supplied each class with a Christmas themed resource box and accompanying PowerPoint presentation.
On Wednesday, pupils wore their Christmas jumpers and partook of their Christmas lunches.
Former pupils, Ollie and Evan, even got in on the act. With the icy cold weather meaning their secondary school closed early they visited the school and helped out with some Year 6 Christmas cake making. Ollie said, "It was good to see some familiar faces and watching the children have fun." Fellow Year 7 student, Evan, added, "There was a nice Christmassy feeling about the old place."
