Footballer Visit
Hythe Town footballer, Marvin Hamilton-Omole, came into assembly today to talk to Key Stage 2 children about his career as a footballer which has seen him play for numerous teams including Gillingham, Cypriot side APEP and Albany Creek who play in the Australian Brisbane Premier League.
Marvin has also played for Sri Lanka at full international level representing his mother's birthplace in the qualifying rounds of the World Cup.
The special assembly was hosted by Year 6 pupils Coco, Yasmin and Bethany who provided the audience with a PowerPoint presentation about Marvin's career as well as interviewing him and leading a Q&A session with questions coming from the audience.
The visit coincides with tomorrow's 'Let Girls Play Day' which will see all girls across the school participate in football related activities.
Year 6 pupil Asfandyar thoroughly enjoyed the assembly saying, "It's great having people from outside of school come into assembly to tell us about their lives."
