We have had a fun-packed celebration of books across the school today with a range of events and activities taking place.

Children have read and created their own comic strips; told stories; participated in online quizzes and live writing lessons; enjoyed a fantastic performance by Michael Rosen; debated who should be named the ‘ultimate book character’; explored poetry and non-fiction texts; listened to stories and created their own book-related artwork.

This afternoon, all children in Years 3-6 went outside to find a ‘reading buddy’ and shared a book of their choice with one another.

We did all of this whilst dressed as book characters! There was an impressive amount of effort and creativity that had been put into the creation of costumes today and we were able to share and celebrate this across the both sites with an online assembly.
