Panathlon Success
A team of boys and girls from Year 6 recently took part in the Waltham Forest Schools Sport Network Primary Penathlon Day held at the Peter May Sports Centre and returned to school as joint gold medalists, sharing the winner's rostrum with pupils from Barncroft Primary. The competition focussed on a variety of sports featured in the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Jubilant Riley from Pankhurst class described the experience as 'extremely worthwhile'. Classmate, Evan, was equally enthusiastic commenting, " I was delighted to find out we had won. I wasn't expecting to bring back a trophy to school with my teammates."
Erika, also from Pankhurst class added, "It was a really well organised event. All the competitors were well behaved and the students from Chingford Foundation who were supervising the activities were very nice."
