Rights Respecting Schools Pupil Event
RIghts Respecting Pupil Event at Thorpe Hall
On Wednesday the 11th March a group of year 6’s went to Thorpe Hall Primary to take part in a Right Respecting Pupil Event. There were lots of other schools there and it was a fabulous opportunity to speak with other children about what they were doing in their schools to ensure that everyone was accessing their rights!
Helen Trivers, the Senior Professional Advisor was there to tell us about current developments with the Rights Respecting Schools Award. Then all the children in the hall had to go round asking lots of questions to do with rights. After that we were fortunate to hear about what events or projects different schools had been working on. One school had different animals to represent equity, dignity and fairness - which was a great idea for our younger children!
We made an informative poster to persuade other schools to join in with the award. Chloe W, Sophia, Matylda and Ella represented our school beautifully.
