Year 2 pupils were delighted to welcome some new arrivals to school this week when the hen eggs they have been incubating, started to hatch.

Year 2 pupil Riley observed that when the eggs hatched, "the chicks weren't fluffy but rather gooey!"

Classmate Teddy added, "Although the chicks look a little scared, they seem to be warm and comfortable."

Axel was charmed by the fluffy chicks and how cute they looked whilst Izzy summed up the wonder of nature perfectly by saying, "Having chicks in school makes me feel really happy!"
