Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Sir Iain Duncan Smith to our school. The Rights Respecting School councillors asked him questions about being an MP, such as:

What did you do before politics?

What problem is most prominent in our constituency, and how are you planning to resolve it?

Why did the public vote for you over other candidates in this constituency?

Will you help us with our traffic campaign? (It was a really big yes and we gave him a letter detailing what we would like him to do!)

He talked to the whole junior site about all these issues. It was really interesting and inspiring.

He said he wanted to come back and look round the whole school to find out the exciting work that we do as a Gold Rights Respecting School. Mikayla and Ella presented with a book let that explained what a Gold Right Respecting School looks like.
