Children and staff came to school today dressed as their favourite book characters to mark 'World Book Day 2022'.

Year 6 Pupil, Erika, came dressed as Bellatrix from the Harry Potter series of Books. Fellow Year 6 pupil. Miiechah,  dressed up as Stitch from the Disney film, Lilo & Stitch. Classmate Tia chose to wear an Angel costume also from 'Lilo & Stitch'.

Miiechah commented, "Everyone's costume looked great but I particularly enjoyed Edward's costume based on Henry the Hoover, even though I don't think that's strictly a book character!'

Amongst the varied book related activities that took place during the day were two live virtual sessions - Year 1 & 2 were entertained by award winning author and illustrator, Catherine Rayner, while children at the Junior site met up with celebrated children's poet and author, Michael Rosen.
