Year 4 Scientists: Is Empty Really Empty?
Year 4 children investigated whether spaces are truly empty. Through carousel activities and hands-on experiments, they took turns making predictions, carrying out investigations and observing the results. They explored the properties of matter, with a particular focus on gases, and discussed whether the evidence supported their predictions. These activities helped the children develop their scientific enquiry skills, explain their observations and use evidence to understand that gases take up space, even when they cannot be seen.
