Year 5 Pupils attend LSO concert at the Barbican
Pupils from Year 5 were entertained by the London Symphony Orchestra today at the Barbican. A concert was staged to educate children and expose them to the work of fabulous forgotten or neglected female composers from across the centuries.
5 Bronte students, Jah Kai, Hayden and Ivy, were very enthusiastic about seeing the LSO. Jah Kai declared, "I don't usually like classical music but I enjoyed this show." Ivy commented, "I was surprised at how many different instruments were being used by the orchestra. My favourite instrument was the flute." Hayden enjoyed the harp saying, "It makes such a beautiful sound I could listen to it for hours."
Molly from 5 Hawking enjoyed the audience participation and said she would really like to go again. Classmate Jessica added, "I really enjoyed listening to the orchestra play the Dr Who theme tune."
