On Tuesday 10th March, two Year 6 teams represented our school at a sitting volleyball competition held at the Peter May Centre.

The teams competed as class groups: 6 Darwin (Ethan, Dylan, Riley, Penny, Gabriel, Gillian and Islah) and 6 Pankhurst (Kledis, Frankie, Matylda, Jessica K, Jessica B, Emily and Aidan). Each team played a total of seven games during the tournament.

Both teams performed brilliantly, showing great tenacity, teamwork and excellent sportsmanship throughout the day. After the initial rounds, only two teams progressed to the final from a total of 24 schools. We are delighted that 6 Darwin reached the final, where they faced Oak Hill School.

In a nail-biting match, 6 Darwin narrowly missed out on the top spot against a very strong Oak Hill team, earning a fantastic silver medal.

We are incredibly proud of all the children who took part. Their behaviour was exemplary and they represented the school brilliantly.
