YEAR 4 - Swimming Lessons
4EH Monday 16th March - Friday 27th March 2025 at 1 – 2pm
Please note:
On Thursday 19th March, although children are being dismissed early for Parent Consultations, 4EH will still have their swimming lesson. They will need to be collected at 3pm from school. Mrs Adams will be taking the class so that Miss Efreme will be present for the afternoon of Parent Consultations.
On Friday 27th March, although the school closes early for the Easter break, 4EH will still have their swimming lesson and will need to be collected at 3pm from school.
4B Monday 13th April - Friday 24th April 2025 at 1 – 2pm
The lessons will be held at Chingford Leisure Centre. Children will be walking and will be accompanied by staff and a few parent helpers. Swimming lessons are between 1pm – 2pm each day and the children will have their school dinners as per their normal arrangements at school before they leave and return back to school before the end of the school day.
Children are allowed to bring with them a healthy snack (no chocolate, shellfish, sweets or nut based food) to eat afterwards, which they can bring ready in their swimming bag along with their water bottle.
Please ensure your child brings the appropriate swimwear for these sessions:
Girls – One-piece swimming costume, swimming hat and goggles. Long hair must be tied up in a bun to fit in to your child’s swim hat.
Boys - Only lycra style tight trunks/shorts allowed, together with a swimming hat and goggles. NO BURMUDA, BAGGY OR OVER THE KNEE SHORTS.
Please ensure your child brings a towel in a suitable bag to carry. The centre will not allow children to swim without the correct kit.
