What a glorious day for Miss Efreme and our Year 6 boys' team at the Leyton Orient Waltham Forest tournament at Douglas Eyre Sports Ground!

After an impressive group stage, winning three and drawing one, the C of E team advanced to the quarter finals to face a tough Sybourne School side. The boys gave it everything they had, pushing through to the semi finals where they kept their streak alive with a 1-0 victory over Willowbrook!

That set up a nail biting, end to end final against Hillyfield. With the match tied at 2-2 at the final whistle, it all came down to penalties. Six penalties in, goalkeeper Ben stepped up to slot his penalty home, then immediately made a heroic save to secure the trophy for C of E!

Huge congratulations to Zac P, Ben, Arlo, Ediz, Kyran, Oliver and Ollie. They showed outstanding sportsmanship from start to finish and should be incredibly proud of their performance!
