What a day out! Year 1 headed to the beautiful Epping Forest this week to put on their plant detective hats and explore the natural world around them. With the help of the Epping Forest Learning team, the children discovered the different parts of plants, learned what plants need to grow and had a go at identifying trees, all while being surrounded by the real thing!

It was a joy to see so many curious minds asking questions, peering at leaves and getting stuck in. There is no classroom quite like the great outdoors and Epping Forest certainly didn't disappoint.
