Year 4 Enterprise Project
The children were split into groups and worked together to decide what they could create that would not only sell well but also make a profit. Each group was given a budget of £10 to spend on materials before designing and making their products. Throughout the project, the children developed their teamwork, creativity, problem-solving and money management skills, and they thoroughly enjoyed every part of the experience.
Our ten groups produced a fantastic range of items, including decorated stones, lanyards, cookies, decorative biscuits, slime, bracelets, keyrings and Hama bead creations. Once their products were complete, the children designed eye-catching marketing posters to help promote their stalls.
On Thursday afternoon, we transformed the playground into our very own outdoor market, and what an event it was! With Year 4 shoppers eagerly visiting each stall, the market was buzzing with excitement. Everyone had great fun spending their money on the wonderful products for sale, and it was fantastic to see the children's hard work rewarded.
Altogether, we raised £202.20, making an impressive profit of £102.20.
A huge thank you goes to our amazing children for all their hard work and enthusiasm, as well as to our staff, volunteers and the wonderful work experience students from Heathcote School, whose support helped make the event such a fantastic success. We are incredibly proud of everyone involved!
