On Monday 22^nd June 2026, we will be visiting Chase Lane Primary School in Chingford Mount for the Waltham Forest Junior Citizenship Scheme.

This is an annual borough-based event aimed at Year 6 pupils, to assist them in their transition from primary school to secondary school.

It’s designed to build confidence and make them aware of the increased independence and responsibility they are given around that time. For the majority of 11 year olds in London, this is the biggest life-changing event they will have experienced.

The event starts at 1.00pm and will finish at 3.00pm. Due to the finishing time and travelling by public transport please note that we may return back to school later than 3.30pm. You will be notified of our ETA but it is likely to be around 4pm.

Travel method: Public Transport (Bus)

Dress code: School uniform and appropriate footwear

Lunch: Packed lunch required (no fizzy drinks, no nut based foods or glass bottles and a light back pack is suitable)

If you would like the school dinner team to organise a packed lunch for the trip please let the school know in writing by email (school@ccofe.waltham.sch.uk) or send a note to the school office before Wednesday 10^th June 2026.
