  • The drive continues to obtain 4,000 Signatures on the Crossing Petition!

    Wed 27 Mar 2019

Our aim is to obtain 4,000 signatures on the Crossing Petition.  Any petition with over 4,000 signatures is debated at a full Council meeting.  We are still a long way off this, so we need your help!  Whilst speaking to people in the playground it is clear that the person who receives the ParentPay e-mails have signed the petition.  Don't forget to forward onto Mum's, Dad's, Carers and Grandparents who don't receive these e-mails.  If everyone could get at least 5 signatures, we will be there in no time!  Just remember that the signatory must live in Waltham Forest and be over 11 years old.  Thank you for your support, we can't do this alone.

  • Faure's Requiem

    Mon 18 Mar 2019

On Saturday a small choir of years 6 and 4 girls performed Faure's Requiem, in a massed choir at St Mary's Church, Woodford. The event was organised by Forest School, and conducted by James Clements - Head of Music. The girls were amazing, singing in Latin and following the many paged libretto. They were accompanied by a full orchestra, organ and the noted Baritone Soloist Tom Mcveigh. It was a wonderful performance and an evening to remember.

  • Young Leaders' Conference

    Thu 14 Mar 2019

On Thursday 14th March, 12 children from year 4 and 5 attended the Young Leaders’ Conference at Feel Good Centre. Entitled ‘Get up, Get Active’, the children learnt and practised different activities that they could bring back to school to teach others to be physically active. Led by Shona Gordon, our School sports Coordinator, the children were taught to be ‘Active Spies’ to encourage their peers to be more active. They took part in 3 workshops throughout the day and even learnt how to do the new dance craze, The Triangle Dance! Hopefully everyone will be ‘triangling’ in the playground.

  • Dance Showcase

    Tue 12 Mar 2019

On Tuesday 12th March, some children from year 3 and 4 attended the borough Dance Showcase. They performed a dance to Little Mix’s Black Magic which they have spent time learning in Dance Club in school for the past few months. They were confident and performed really well in front of other schools. Well done, girls!

I particularly liked Miss Roberts' Bugs Bunny costume!'

To help mark the day, the school also invited parents and carers to school for a 'Stay and Read' session.
