Grandma on the Moon
Fri 24 May 2019Along with pupils from the neighbouring St. Mary's RC Primary School, our Year 3, 4 and 5 pupils recently attended a performance of' 'Grandma on the Moon' performed by the AZ2B Theatre Company at the local parish church.
The production focussed on the sensitive issue of bereavement from a child's perspective. The moving and often heart warming performance was well received by the children and adults who attended.
Year 5 pupil, Mia-Rose, commented, " I think this play was very profound and skilfully mixed in humour with what is a very sad subject."
Another Year 5 pupil, Jack, added, " I enjoyed the play because it was really emotional and touched the heart."
Special thanks go to Luke Lowrie and the team from the Red Balloon Foundation who made it possible for this event to go ahead.
