DIY Day transformation!
Sun 30 Jun 2024A huge "Thank You" to all the parents who volunteered to give up their time on Saturday to transform the junior site playground! It looks amazing! The children will be thrilled when they see it on Monday! Thank you to pupils, Chloe, Skylar and Peter for their magnificent efforts too!
A special thank you to Jon Reidy, for organising the day. Thank you to the parents/carers who donated plants or cash to buy plants, we really appreciate your generosity. We are looking to do another DIY day, early in the Autumn Term, and we will be collecting the names of volunteers for that day, at the Summer Fayre, next Saturday, 6th July, - come along and find out how you can help!

Aleeya Sibbons inspires us!
Thu 27 Jun 2024This morning, we were delighted to welcome Olympic hopeful, Aleeya Sibbons, to talk to the children in our assembly. Aleeya Sibbons is a track and field athlete who competes internationally for Great Britain as a sprinter.
What a truly inspiring person Aleeya is! She gave up her time to come and thoughtfully answer a range of questions from children as young as 4 years old through to 11 year olds! Currently studying architecture, at The University of Bath, Aleeya is set to find out this weekend, if she has made it to a place in the Olympic team and will be going to Paris! We wish her the very best and hope to see her competing in this year’s Olympics, representing GB!
She really demonstrated to the children what hard work, tenacity and focus can lead to. She told the children that only you, yourself, can set limits on yourself: accept constructive criticism to improve and keep working towards your goals and you can do whatever you aspire to do!

Year 2 Visit LSO
Mon 24 Jun 2024Lucky year 2 experienced their third concert this school year with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Centre.
This time the theme was Magic and Music and we certainly were treated to both! The orchestra played a wonderful selection of magical music, including Modest Mussorgksy's A Night on Bald Mountain (where the witches hold a party). The children joined in, singing and performing their actions beautifully, with songs they have been practising for the event.
We were amazed to witness co-presenter and timpani player, Patrick King, show of his magic circle skills - the last of these involved a volunteer from the audience levitating on stage!
The behaviour was impeccable, as always. We would like to thank the parent volunteers for their help on our outing and making it possible.

Cooking club begins!
Wed 19 Jun 2024Our school has been encouraging children to create their own clubs and the children have really been enjoying taking part in other children’s clubs. Very recently, two girls have started a baking club for year six children to take part in. With a little (or a lot) help from the school cooks, Tracey and Laura, the club is a success! They made apple donuts the first time and really enjoyed making them,
“It was lots of fun and the cooks were really friendly! I learnt so much about cooking and chopping!” stated Emma in year six.
“The baking club was an amazing experience, I learned so much with the help of our lovely chefs,” said Zhion in year six.
“I’m so thankful that our school has finally introduced a baking club! It gives us children an opportunity to learn an important skill that we can use throughout our lives.” Emmeline, another Year 6 pupil, quoted.

Marvellous Men!
Fri 14 Jun 2024Ahead of Father's Day on Sunday 16th June, Reception children invited marvellous men that they love to come to an afternoon of activities followed by a cuppa and cake in the infant hall today! Father's Day is a holiday honoring one's father, as well as fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society. We were delighted that so many Dads, Grandads, Uncles, and big Cousins could attend to have fun with reception!

Fri 14 Jun 2024Quad kids is a fun team competition based upon the athletic events of 75m sprint, 600m run, standing long jump and howler throw. Miss Efreme reported that our children behaved impeccably and showed a great sporting attitude!

Y6 Activities week!!
Tue 04 Jun 2024Day one of the Y6 activities week started with a visit to the London Aquarium! A fabulous day was had by all! Day two was a sky high trampolining day! Day three saw all the children visiting London Zoo. Thanks to Mr Cushway, one of our regular volunteers, the children have a very special zoo experience as Mr Cushway is also a regular volunteer at London Zoo, and so he can share many extra insights into the day to day working of the zoo. He also knows so much about the animals! Once back from the zoo, Y6 enjoyed a BBQ on the school field. This year Miss Bruford and Ms Lampard did the cooking! Much fun and many games were played!
Day five is jam packed - Tower Bridge, The Tate and then a boat ride on the Thames! Y6 are really experiencing all that London has to offer and thoroughly enjoying being out and about together!

Tue 04 Jun 2024A huge thank you to the Parents' Association for arranging and paying for a fantastic dinosaur experience for the infant site classes!
The dinosaurs arrived at the junior hall and the infant classes bravely tiptoed over to see what was going on!
They learnt lots and even had a dinosaur dance!
