  • Wider re-opening of school for Y6 only from 1st June

    Our plan is:

    Week of 1st June:

    Monday 1st June and Tuesday 2nd June

    And Mondays and Tuesdays going forward

    Y6 Darwin with Mrs Adams, Mrs Rhys and Mrs Staples

    Thursday 4th June and Friday 5th June

    And Thursdays and Fridays going forward

    Y6 Pankhurst with Miss Watson, Mrs Goch and Mrs Malik

     

    Week of 8th June:

    Monday 8th June and Tuesday 9th June

    And Mondays and Tuesdays going forward

    Y1 Bannister with Ms Da Silva, Miss Brown and Mrs Bethune

    Thursday 11th June and Friday 12th June

    And Thursdays and Fridays going forward

    Y1 Seacole with Mrs Gull, Mrs Lawrence and Mrs Gillies

    Mental Health Awareness Week

    18th – 24th May 2020

     

    This year’s theme is kindness – see the table below for competition details.

     

    The winning entry for each phase group will be rewarded with a GOLD AWARD! The deadline for competition entries is Monday 25th May (to be submitted by no later than noon). The winning entry for each phase group shall be announced on WB: Monday 1st June! Please ensure that your full name and class details are clearly written on your entry! Submit your competition entries to: school@ccofe.waltham.sch.uk

    EYFS/

    KS1  (R- Year 2)

     

    Draw a detailed picture to show what kindness looks like.

    -Can you include labels / a caption?

    Lower KS2 (Years 3-4)

     

    Write a poem based on the kindness theme. You could write an acrostic poem, free verse, narrative poem, Haiku, shape poem, etc. The possibilities are endless!

    -What does kindness look like? Smell like? Taste like? Feel like?

    Upper KS2 (Years 5-6)

     

    Create a comic strip to sequence a narrative on the theme of kindness

    -include speech bubbles, thought bubbles, captions, narrative, onomatopoeia, pictures and a title

  • Pupil shaves head for charity

    During the Covid 19 lockdown, Year 6 pupil, Jack, has raised nearly £200 for the Alzheimer's society by shaving his hair. Well done, Jack Bald!
