Year 1 pupils partake in Archbishop of York's Youth Trust Young Leaders Award Scheme
Fri 11 Feb 2022Year 1 pupil have recently completed the Archbishop of York's Youth Trust Young Leaders Scheme for Key Stage 1 pupils. The KS1 training utilises a fully resourced leadership and character education programme allowing pupils pupils to consider the needs of their local community and build habits of helping others.
Year 1 pupil Greta said she enjoyed the course with fellow Year 1 student, Finlay, adding, " I learnt that it's important to be kind and help people."
Teacher Mrs Thomas was equally enthusiastic about the scheme commenting, "The pupils really enjoyed doing this programme. It has lots of lovely resources explaining values clearly at the children's level. There are social stories as well as links to Bible stories. It really helps make the children think about our school's Christian values. They also really loved the song they learnt which we sung during one of our class assemblies."

PA - Our School Lottery
Wed 02 Feb 2022As we approach our first anniversary of running "Your School Lottery", we realise that the majority of those who initially signed up have dropped off the weekly ticket draw. We envisage the rest could drop off in a couple of weeks when the first full year is up. This is such a fantastic way to help raise money for our school PA very very easily. We are suggesting that you sign up for £1 a week because we've noticed that at that amount, it's barely, if even, noticeable. If we can get 100 parents or friends or neighbours signing up at £1 a week then we are back to ensuring that the weekly prize pool is above £30 each Saturday. It's so easy to sign up- you can do it via direct debit or in lump sums for x number of months at a time, 1 month being the least. 40% of the ticket sales come straight into the PA bank account. 30% make up the prize pool. Please have a look at this if you've never done so before. Please consider joining in the fun. And if you've joined before and dropped off, please consider signing up again. The more people who sign up at £1 a week the better. If you have any queries please e mail us at the PA e mail cofeschoolpa@gmail.com
Here is the link for our school lottery. Please have a look, sign up and share the message. We really need to get the numbers up in the next 2 weeks. Thanks in advance.
