Rabbi talks to Year 4 pupils
Tue 12 Feb 2019Rabbi Brandman from the Chabad Lubavitch Synagogue in Buckhurst Hill recently visited the school to talk to our Year 4 pupils about Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs. Bar Mitzvah is a Jewish coming of age ritual for boys. Bat Mitzvah is a Jewish coming of age ritual for girls.
Year 4 pupil, Ruby, commented, "Rabbi Brandman brought in a lot of things to show us including a prayer shawl called a tallit and a mezuzah which is a case holding Jewish scriptures which Jewish people put on their doors."
Ruby added that the talk was "fun" and "educational".

Year 4 Kurling Event
Wed 06 Feb 2019On Tuesday 5th February, some year 4 kurlers attended this inaugural event at Leytonstone Leisure Centre. A big thank you to Mr Bloomfield, the mini bus driver for the day, for getting us there!

Candlemas Service
Sun 03 Feb 2019Year 4 and Year 5 pupils recently took part in a Candlemas service held at the Parish church.Candlemas is celebrated on the 2nd day of February of each year. The day is celebrated as a day of renewal, hope, and purification. -
Year 2 Trip to the Museum of London
Fri 01 Feb 2019Year 2 recently enjoyed a visit to the Museum of London to further their studies on The Great Fire. -
