Eid ul Adha
Thu 09 Oct 2014Eid ul AdhaKey Stage 2 pupils recently spent time finding out the Muslim festival of Eid ul Adha which follows Hajj ( the annual pilgrimage to Mecca and one of the Five Pillars of Islam ). Children not only learnt about the origins of the festival and its meaning, but also had the chance to taste traditional foods served up during the celebration. There was also an opportunity for the children to have a mehndi decoration painted on their hands. To coincide with the event, donations were invited to help fund the school's continuing support of Anuj Kumar and his community.
