Year 5 Visit Neaseden Temple
Wed 05 Jul 2023Year 5's current Religious Education module asks the question, 'If God is everywhere why go to a place of worship?' After experiencing the splendour of Neasden Temple today, some Year 5 pupils think they have the answer!
Emma, from 5 Bronte class. suggested that Neasden Temple is a perfect example of why we should go to a place of worship despite God supposedly being all around us. "The Mandir is a beautiful place with a sense of holiness," she said, "I felt God's presence in the building even though I'm not particularly religious."
5 Hawking student, Sean, added, "The Mandir made me feel at peace and I was filled with a sense of wonder. Even when I was waiting for the Arti Service to start, my attention was focussed on the amazing architecture and the fascinating idols such as Ganesh, Hanuman the monkey god, and Rama and Sita"
