Harvest Festival 2015
Mon 19 Oct 2015As usual the school's harvest festival was a great success. Father Andy led the proceedings on both sites for the first time and was very impressed with the generosity shown by parents and careers who donated many gifts of food. These offerings have been passed on to the charity 'Christian Kitchen' who provide warm food for the homeless in the Borough.
To keep with school tradition, a bread making competition was held at the Junior site which attracted over 50 entrants.

Football League Kids Cup
Mon 19 Oct 2015C of E's Year 6 boys' team narrowly missed out on reaching the final of the Football League Kids Cup held at 'The Score' ground, Leyton, after being beaten in the semi final of the competition 2-1 by Loyola Preparatory School from Buckhurst Hill.
Hopes were high after the boys won all their 4 league stage games against South Grove, Mayville, Ashford and Potter Street. However, a last minute goal in the semi final from their opponents dashed hopes of a final appearance and the opportunity to be paraded in front of the crowd for Leyton Orient's home game against Oxford United which took place later in the afternoon.
Nevertheless, the boys enjoyed their day and were given free tickets for the Leyton Orient game against Oxford.
Special thanks to the parents who came along to support tie boys and to Howard Gould from Leyton Orient who organised the day.

Girls Football
Tue 06 Oct 2015The girls football team got off to a fantastic start to the season last night at Goals. After a close match against Roger Asham in which they were defeated 1-0, they grew in confidence and conquered their nerves.
They won their second match 6-0 with a special mention to super striker Rosie Lee who scored 5 goals topped up by Amelie scoring the other - well done girls!!
Their final match of the evening against Henry Maynard was also a solid result ending in a 4-0 win for C of E.
All in all, a brilliant start to the season.
Big thanks, as always, to Mr Winspear for giving up his time and for his expertise in coaching the team. He was very proud of how their self belief grew with each match.
Looking forward to the next matches! Onwards and upwards girls! -
