Book Week
Mon 16 Sep 2019The school's book week saw each class designing exciting new book corners in each classroom. A fantastic turnout of parents and carers came along to 'stay and read' with the children and the book fair made record profits which will be ploughed back into supplying non-fiction books for the new library at the Junior site and the proposed new library at the Infants. The Collective Worship Project Concert and Album
Fri 28 Jun 2019A concert was recently held by the school at the local church showcasing new songs the children have learnt in a project sponsored by St Peter's and St Paul's in conjunction with the Red Balloon Foundation.
The project involved the children learning 6 new songs directed by local musician, Matthew Lowrie, which have been professionally recorded to help with the school's acts of collective worship.
The recordings are available for downloading from July 5th by heading to the following link :
www.rbf.org.uk/parishofchingford
The download costs £5 which will go towards offsetting the costs of the project.
As well as putting together a concert and an album, the project saw each class provided with a collective worship box containing useful aids for teachers to support worship in the classroom.
The school would like to thank Father Andy from the church and Luke Lowrie from the Red Balloon Foundation for giving the children this wonderful experience.
