  • Goodbye Father John

    Thu 18 Dec 2014

Next week we look forward to the Church service at 9:30 on Friday 19th December (for the whole school) although it will be tinged with sadness as we will be saying goodbye to Father John at this service.  Father John is moving to Wales. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his support for all the children, staff and parents at School and for his tireless work as a School Governor. He has been a big part of our school community and a regular visitor to school. One of the children asked "who will be our father now?" which sums up just how we feel. We will miss him greatly.

If you would like to contribute, please give any donations into either school office.

  • Year 6 Boys Football Tournament

    Wed 12 Nov 2014

Congratulations to our Year 6 Boys' A team who on qualified for the U11 EPSFA London Boroughs Finals following their strong performances in the Waltham Forest 6 a-side tournament. The Essex Primary Schools' Football Association noted our undefeated record and asked us to represent Waltham Forest in the London section of the competition.

The 7 a-side tournament was held on Tuesday 11th November at the Robert Clack Leisure Centre, Dagenham and included schools from boroughs such Barking & Dagenham, Newham and Redbridge.

Despite some strong performances the team did not manage to advance to the latter stages of the competition despite winning one and drawing three of their six matches.

Nevertheless, it was a great occasion and the boys can be proud of their efforts and their exemplary attitude and behaviour on and off the pitch.

Special thanks also goes to the parents who helped with lifts to and from the event.

  • Will C of E's football teams find gold at the end of a rainbow?

    Mon 03 Nov 2014
Against the backdrop of a beautiful double rainbow, C of E's girls' A team made easy work of two of their opponents at a rain soaked 'Goals' 6 a-side tournament with impressive 10-0 and 8-0 wins. Tougher opposition was provided by Chapel End Juniors resulting in a 1-1 draw with C of E scoring in the last minute.

Just as impressive were the Boys' A team who recorded a 12-0 victory as they strode to 2 games undefeated in their mini league.

Both teams now have a great chance of qualifing for the latter stages of the competition which will eventually see the winner representing the Borough in the London Games held at Crystal Palace later in the year.

Both Boys' and Girls' B teams put up good fights in their matches with the girls narrowly losing both their 3 games and the boys managing 2 draws.

    The tournament resumes in November.

  • Harvest Festival

    Mon 13 Oct 2014
Both the Juniors and Infants celebrated Harvest with traditional style Harvest festivals. Donations of foodstuffs were aplenty and these have been passed on to the charity Christian Kitchen who support the Borough's homeless.
