• Cromer Hero

  We took safe delivery of  a decommissioned lifeboat the "Cromer Hero" thanks to kind neighbours who moved their cars last Saturday so that it could be brought on site.

   

  Watch as the "Cromer Hero" is transformed into play equip for all of us to enjoy!

• Harvest Celebration

  Chingford C of E Schools celebrated Harvest recently with donated food items being passed onto the charity, 'Christian Kitchen'.
  
  'Christian Kitchen' provide help for the Borough's homeless. To add to the festivities many pupils at Junior site took part in a bread making competition which Deputy Headteacher, Ian Osborne, described as the best ever with well over 50 loaves being entered.

• Juniors achieve Gold Kitemark

  Chingford CofE Voluntary Controlled Junior School has achieved Gold Kitemark!

   

  Following a recent visit from an auditor from the Sainsbury's School Games Team the school was awarded the prestigious Gold Kitemark and earned the following comments:

   

  "The school met all the assessment criteria for the gold award. The school is offering excellent opportunities to pupils at Chingford C of E with evidence of very good intra-school and inter-school activity. There are areas of very good practice and it was good to see the School Games being linked into the broader school curriculum in imaginative ways. "

  

• Forest School Open Day

  "Forest School's Open Day this year will be held on Saturday 21 September 2013 between 8:30am and 1:30pm. Tour os the School will be offered and parents and pupils are invited to speak informally with teaching staff, Forest pupils and current Forest parents. We will for the first time be running an admissions room, where parents and pupils can access all the infromation they need on admissions at 11+ and 13+. The full programme will be available for download from our website approximately four weeks in advance."
